# FAQ
Yes, we will provision cloud disks via the CSI drivers dynamically.
Yes. Aicademy ships scenarios across Kubernetes (CKA, CKAD, CKS) and hands-on AI tracks. The free tier gives you 40 labs to start. A Labs subscription unlocks all 400+ plus new ones shipped every month.
No. Aicademy spins up an isolated KIND cluster on your local machine per scenario. KIND (Kubernetes in Docker) is the only prerequisite alongside Docker. No AKS, no EKS, no cloud bill.
The CLI assumes KIND because the scenarios rely on deterministic setup commands and pre-built cluster templates. You can point the verify step at any kubeconfig you like, but the auto-setup flow is tuned for KIND. Labs Pro questions that require Service Mesh or GitOps only against KIND clusters.
Yes. Install Docker Desktop for Mac (with the bundled Kubernetes CLI enabled), then `uv tool install aicademy`. M1, M2, M3, and Intel Macs are all supported.
Yes. Install Docker Desktop for Windows with WSL2 backend. Open PowerShell, WSL, or Git Bash and run `uv tool install aicademy`. Cross-platform Python wheels.
Yes, native KIND support. Install Docker, then `uv tool install aicademy`. Tested on Ubuntu 22.04/24.04, Debian 12, Fedora 39, and Arch.
Scenario setup, KIND cluster creation, and the verify checks all run locally. You only need network the first time you `aicademy list` and to mint a CLI token. Everything else runs offline.
Each scenario ships a YAML manifest of verify checks (Pod states, label matches, NetworkPolicy enforcement, etc.). The CLI runs `kubectl` queries against your local KIND cluster and compares the actual state against the manifest. Pass/fail with a score, time taken, and the exact mismatch for any failed check.
No. The questions are original scenarios shaped exactly like the exam task family. The CNCF syllabus is public; Aicademy targets every exam domain at the level of detail CKA/CKAD/CKS expects. No leaked content, no NDA violation.
For Labs subscriptions, the first 7 days are refundable in full no questions asked - just write refund@aicademy.ac. For live workshops, refunds are available if requested at least 48 hours before the first session. If Aicademy cancels a workshop you get a full refund automatically.
The CLI itself is and will stay open source. Labs content comes with your active subscription. Workshop purchases grant permanent access to the recordings on your Aicademy account.
40 free labs across all tracks. Full CLI flow including setup, verify, and the WhatsApp community. No credit card required.
All 400+ scenarios across every track, new scenarios shipped monthly, full attempt history, score tracking, leaderboard access, and priority CLI support.
Monthly subscriptions: 30 days, billed monthly, cancel anytime. Yearly: 365 days, billed yearly. Workshop tickets come with 3 months of Labs Pro included so you keep practicing what you learned.
